Community land is farmed collectively, and food produced is used to directly feed the community, while surplus crops are sold to fund local development. The goal is to uplift community members first.

Our retail stores are community owned, meaning profits are reinvested into the community and used to support local families rather than enriching individual owners.

Let There Be Light is funded by individuals, small businesses, and existing government programmes that align with our goals.

The Pro-active Land Acquisition Strategy (PLAS) is a government programme where the state buys agricultural land for redistribution. We assist local communities through legal, training, and commercial means to meet the government requirements so they succeed in bidding to acquire and manage the land.

We work with previously disadvantaged communities, and legal entities such as cooperatives and Communal Property Associations (CPAs) looking to acquire, manage, or operationalise agricultural land.

The process depends on what stage your community or organisation is at in their agricultural activities. We anticipate it can take a year or longer.

Yes — the programme helps locals establish both traditional brick-and-mortar shops and modern e-commerce platforms.

W&RSETA learnership candidates, and TVET or accredited private academy graduates who require practical Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) hours to complete their qualifications.
